As others have noted, you probably don't need to make your bibtex style
from scratch. Some customization may be necessary (e.g. older styles do
not support URL fields), but most available styles should work as such
(as long as your supervisor approves the style) ;).
Some recommended styles:
Babelbib - supports multilingual bibliographies (e.g. if you have
references both in Finnish and English), urls in entries and is easily
customizable - great if you want to have numbered or abbreviated author
names in reference lists:

If you prefer Harvard-style citations, try natbib:

For Finnish-only citations (and to see simple examples of customizing
