Dear Potku users,

As Announced in the Ecaart Conference, and promised also on this list :

The MCERD webinar/tutorial will be held on September 14th, 11-13 CET. So mark it in your calendars!
You can also invite other interested parties, as also Helium/RBS type simulation example will be shown.

The tutorial/webinar will start as a quick run-through of the slab analysis side, which also have new features introduced.

The event will be held in Zoom and will be recorded
https://jyufi.zoom.us/j/2628777051

We will try to push the next Potku release version out in a couple of weeks from now, having among others:
- Python 3.10 upgraded
- Individual cut files in the slab analysis side
- Cut files can also be modified, and points can be adjusted after the creation of the cut file (I hope this will be ready by the release)
- MCERD simulations are possible for multiple same "elements", eg. both scattering(beam) and recoiling (target) can be simulated at the same time without changing the settings (this is also something that should be ready in couple of weeks.. lets see!)
- Speed improvements on the slab analysis side, for the loading and saving and cut file processing, when handling large data sets (~>1M events in the spectra)

You are all invited to the webinar to just watch the features, or to ask or comment the software.
But also to learn together how to improve the reliability of your ToF-ERDA or RBS measurement results, for the difficult cases where multiple scattering present challenges - well, not so much anymore: welcome MCERD.

Best regards from Jyväskylä,

Mikko.
