The 23rd Jyväskylä Summer School annually offers courses for advanced Master’s students, PhD students, and post-docs in various fields of science and information technology. Students from all over the world are encouraged to apply and to benefit from the high quality interdisciplinary teaching of the Summer School. Jyväskylä Summer School provides students with an excellent opportunity to participate in a large number of courses and enjoy high quality teaching by respected researchers from all over the world. The language of instruction is English in all courses.

In the 23rd Jyväskylä Summer School, a total of 24 courses are offered in the following courses:

  *   COM2: Automated Solution of Differential Equations by the Finite Element Method
  *   COM3: Electromagnetic Theory and Geometry
  *   COM4: Integral Equation Methods in Electromagnetics
  *   COM5: Reliable Methods of Mathematical Modeling for Scientific and Engineering Computations
  *   COM6: Advanced Methods for Classification of Big High Dimensional Data
  *   COM7: Electromagnetic Signals from The Human Brain: Fundamentals and Analysis
  *   COM8: Techno-economic Systems: Institutional Innovation
  *   IS1: Cognitive Modeling with ACT-R
  *   IS2: Higher Level Entity Relationship Modelling
  *   MA1: Multiwave Imaging
  *   MA2: Inverse Problems in Two Dimensions
  *   MA3: Geometric Stochastic Analysis
  *   PH1: Optical and Electronic Properties of Carbon Nanotubes and Graphene
  *   PH2: Elemental Depth Profiling of nm Thick Films
  *   PH3: Terahertz Spectroscopy of Solid-State Systems: From Bulk to Nanoscale Materials
  *   PH4: Using Language to Teach Science: Researching Classroom Communication and Developing Dialogic Approaches
  *   RE1: Biogas Technology for Renewable Energy Production and Environmental Benefit
  *   RE2: Fundamentals of Marine Energy: Wave energy
  *   STAT1: Industrial Data Science

Summer School also allows the students to widden their knowledge to outside their own field so it's highly recommended to go through all Summer School courses.
