Dear all,

welcome to this week's JYFL Colloquium, Fri 13 May, at 10:15 in FYS1,
and coffee at 10:00.

Speaker: Anne Lähteenmäki, Aalto University Metsähovi Radio Observatory

Title: Planck Early Results

Abstract:
European Space Agency ESA's Planck satellite was launched in May 2009,
and it has recently completed its third all-sky survey. Planck measures,
with an excellent resolution at several high radio frequencies, the
cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies of the whole sky. At the
same time all radio sources in the foreground, such as active galactic
nuclei (AGN), galaxy clusters, and Galactic sources, are measured, too.
In this presentation I review the Planck early results, based on the
first all-sky survey of the satellite, emphasizing the research done at
Metsähovi Radio Observatory.

See you all there!
Kari J. Eskola and Ilari Maasilta
